On October 18, 2019, after yet another increase in subway ticket prices, five stations in Santiago de Chile were set on fire under still unexplained circumstances. These flames became a symbol for millions across the country, of decades of exploitation and unjust redistribution. An unbridled energy of chaos was unleashed. “Chile has awakened!” echoed through the streets.
